The 17-year-old Disney star has been making headlines lately for her new, raunchy look, including a barely-there black bodysuit she wore while performing in Canada on Sunday.
Miley has been inundated with criticism, but she insists she’s “not trying to be slutty.” She said, “I’m not trying to be like, go to the club and get a bunch of guys. I’m really comfortable with my body, I work really hard to be fit and to know that I can wear whatever makes me most comfortable. I feel more comfortable dressing with a little less, which is just how I’ve always been.”

The daughter of country-music superstar Billy_Ray_Cyrus, Miley Cyrus got her start in the entertainment industry on an episode of her father’s PAX TV medical series Doc before appearing in Tim_Burton’s fantastical 2003 adventure Big_Fish. A fateful appearance as the character Hannah Montana in the Disney Channel series The Suite Life of Zack and Cody followed in 2006, and her character proved so popular that a spin-off series called Hannah_Montana  was launched shortly thereafter. In the series, Cyrus portrayed a fun-loving California teen who just happens to be moonlighting as a world-famous pop star. She says she wants fans only to focus on the fantasy of the music. She won’t even drink water while performing so her act isn’t disturbed. According to her that is all part of the plan. Gaga is all about keeping in character, even in her off time. The pop star is better known as her on stage persona than as Stafani Germanotta.

“I’ve been working on it for months now, and I feel very strongly that it’s finished right now. It came so quickly. Some artists take years; I don’t. I write music every day.”

She hinted that her new music was likely to be more serious than her hit debut, which turned her into one of the pop world’s biggest stars.

She said: “I have been for three years baking cakes – and now I’m going to bake a cake that has a bitter jelly.

“The message of the new music is now more bitter than it was before. Because the sweeter the cake, the more bitter the jelly can be.”
